Red Bull New York II Head Coach Dominik Wohlert on Bori: ‘We’ve Signed a Very Talented Young Center-Back’

“In Jason, we’ve signed a very talented young center-back,” Red Bull New York II head coach Dominik Wohlert said. “During his time with Red Bulls II, he quickly adapted to the new speed of play and made a significant impact. We’re very excited to play a key role in his further development.”
Bori is currently rehabbing a knee injury sustained in an August 23 match against Toronto FC II. He will miss the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs.
The defender, who is getting around on crutches, has been supporting his teammates as the Baby Bulls prepare for a rematch against Huntsville City Football Club.
Red Bull New York II will face Huntsville on October 11 at MSU Soccer Park in the MLS NEXT Pro play-in round. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
Bori’s performances for Red Bull II have seen him represent Albania’s under-17 national team, for which he’s made two appearances. The young center-back has made fast progress since joining the Red Bulls Academy in 2024 after previously developing at New York Soccer Club.
Red Bull New York Technical Director Tiger Fitzpatrick: ‘Jason Has Shown Great Promise’

“Jason has shown great promise since joining the club in the Academy and earned his way into the RB II starting line-up over the course of the season,” Red Bull New York technical director Tiger Fitzpatrick said. “We truly believe in his long-term potential and feel honored to continue to support him in his journey with this first professional contract.”
Bori has been commanding in the air, adept in 1v1 defending and strong on the ball in possession. Once he recovers from his knee injury, he will be an intriguing prospect to follow. He has the physical profile and the potential to have a promising professional career.
