Republic of Ireland midfielder Denise O’Sullivan appears set to be the latest big-name arrival at Gotham FC.
According to a London Times report, the 32-year-old will join the Bats on an initial loan deal ahead of a permanent €350,000 transfer.
Just months ago, O’Sullivan moved to Liverpool from the North Carolina Courage on January 17 for a £300,000 fee, which broke the all-time transfer record in Liverpool F.C. Women’s history.
The experienced 5-foot-4 midfielder has made 132 appearances for Ireland and has scored 22 goals in her international career. She is currently two appearances short of equaling goalkeeper Emma Byrne’s record of 134 caps for The Girls in Green.
Gotham has continued to be active and ambitious in the transfer market. The defending NWSL champions reacquired all-time regular-season leading goalscorer Sam Kerr on June 29.
O’Sullivan Would Add an Extra Layer of Championship Experience To Gotham

O’Sullivan enjoyed a long spell with the Courage. She helped the North Carolina club capture two NWSL Championships, three NWSL Shields and two NWSL Challenge Cups.
NWSL clubs can officially register players on July 14.
Gotham most recently recorded a 3-1 road victory over the Utah Royals on Friday. The Bats will next face the Washington Spirit on July 15 in a rematch of the 2025 NWSL Championship Game in The Queens Classic at Citi Field.
Citi Field will host the highly anticipated showdown with kick-off for Wednesday’s match scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
