While Major League Soccer is on break, Red Bull New York forward Julian Hall is working hard to reach an even higher level.
The 18-year-old rising star isn’t satisfied with the nine goals and four assists that he recorded through the first 15 matches of the 2026 MLS season.
When the Red Bulls return to match action on July 22 against the Philadelphia Union, Hall is looking to raise his individual contributions and help New York qualify for the 2026 MLS Cup playoffs after the club missed out on the 2025 postseason.
Hall Demands More From Himself: ‘I Always Strive for More’

“I mean, for me personally, I always strive for more,” Hall said following Red Bull New York’s training session on Wednesday at RWJBarnabas Health Red Bulls Performance Center.
“I had a decent first half of the season. I always want to do better, especially for the second half of the season and as we push for the playoffs.”
Hall Has Fueled Red Bulls’ First Half Success

The Red Bulls currently occupy fifth place in the Eastern Conference after winning six matches, losing five contests and drawing four times (22 points) before the 2026 FIFA World Cup break.
Hall has been vital to New York achieving its current position through his steady supply of goals and assists, but also through his energetic counterpressing and intelligent positioning.
Back in mid-May, head coach Michael Bradley praised Hall’s maturity, application and focus on improvement.
“Jules is a great kid, nothing’s going to his head,” Bradley said. “He comes in every day, ready to work, ready to train, ready to listen. You know, he has a great personality, he has really good starting points as a player, and I’ve enjoyed every second of working with him. So we’re going to continue to challenge him, continue to push him, continue to find the right ways to help him improve, but obviously we’re really, really excited for him.”
Hall Ready To Deliver as the MLS Second Half Schedule Approaches

If it were up to Hall, the Red Bulls would be taking the pitch in competitive matches this upcoming weekend. For now, he’ll have to settle for sharpening his skills on the training pitch and engaging in competitive drills with teammates.
“It was a good break,” Hall said on Wednesday. “I think it was well deserved for all the guys. We were proud of the first half of the season. We gave everything, so I think it was a well-deserved break. But we’re ready to get back after it.”
New York’s July 22nd match in Philadelphia will be broadcast on Apple TV at 7:30 p.m.
