Christian Gallagher is the latest Red Bull New York Academy product to sign a professional contract with Red Bull New York II.
Gallagher follows winger Dennis Nelich, defender Connor Faello and midfielder Deven Cadigan, who each recently signed MLS NEXT Pro contracts.
On Friday, Gallagher agreed to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract that runs through 2027, which includes an option for 2028.
The 18-year-old forward has scored three goals and recorded two assists across 274 minutes in his eight appearances for the Baby Bulls.
Dominik Wohlert Praises Gallagher’s Development And Attacking Qualities

Red Bull New York II head coach Dominik Wohlert spoke of Gallagher’s impressive progress.
“Christian has made good progress over the past few months and has become more and more the focus of attention,” Wohlert said. “He has a lot of impressive qualities that we look for in a number 9 in our system, and we’re very happy that Christian is staying on board and continuing on this path with us.”
Gallagher joined the Red Bulls Academy in 2023 after impressing at Coronado Athletic Club of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Back on March 7, 2025, he made his MLS NEXT Pro debut against Atlanta United 2 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, where he played 81 minutes.
Tiger Fitzpatrick Sees Continued Growth in Gallagher

Across two seasons, the young forward has scored three goals through his first 16 games played for the reserve side. Red Bull New York technical director Tiger Fitzpatrick praised Gallagher’s dedication and

Red Bull New York II currently sits in third position in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference standings with 31 points gained and a plus-11 goal difference.
Next up for the Baby Bulls is a meeting with FC Cincinnati on July 5 at NKU Soccer Stadium in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Kick off is scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
