Gotham FC goalkeeper Ryan Campbell has been loaned to Gainbridge Super League club Lexington SC through December.
The move was announced on Thursday afternoon, and Campbell’s loan could potentially be extended for an additional six months.
Having sat behind first-choice keeper Ann-Katrin Berger and Shelby Hogan on Gotham’s depth chart, Campbell will have an opportunity to play consistently for Lexington.
Campbell Looks to Gain Valuable Experience On Loan

“Lexington SC is the right fit for me at this point in my career,” Campbell told the Lexington SC official website. “The club shows a genuine, daily commitment to its players and the surrounding community, which made this an easy decision.
“I’m approaching this opportunity with a fresh mindset — ready to start from zero each day, embrace the pressure to perform and continue developing my game in a meaningful way. I’m excited to contribute on the field and bring my authentic self to a club that has already built something truly unique.”
The 24-year-old has made two appearances across all competitions for the Bats since she joined Gotham in 2025. She is under contract with Gotham FC through the 2028 season.
Campbell could make her first appearance for Lexington on August 15 against Brooklyn FC at Lexington SC Stadium.
Her loan move leaves Gotham with three goalkeepers on the roster in Berger, Hogan and Teagan Wy.
Gotham will host Seattle Reign FC on Saturday with a noon kickoff at Icahn Stadium.
