Gotham FC are hoping for positive news after Jordynn Dudley exited Wednesday’s Queens Classic due to an apparent head injury in the first half.

Concern for Gotham FC After Dudley’s Exit

Dudley underwent on-field concussion protocol before she went straight down the tunnel holding her head. She was replaced by defender Jess Carter in the 34th minute.
UPDATE: 11:35 PM:
Head coach Juan Carlos Amorós seemed to indicate that the injury might not be as serious as initially feared.
“Luckily, she’s doing okay,” Amorós said during the post-match press conference. “It was the fact that she had the first impact, and within a very short period of time, she had the second impact; they had to check her. [My medical team] told me they had to take her in just to do further assessments because that’s the protocol. She’s doing okay.”
The 5-foot-11 forward has scored two goals and two assists through her first 14 NWSL appearances.
