Gotham FC general manager Yael Averbuch West did not stand pat after the Bats ended 2025 with an NWSL championship and Concacaf W Champions Cup trophy double.
Averbuch West pressed on by continuing to identify and acquire promising rookie talents as well as established veterans.
Now that the primary transfer window has shut, let’s take a look at Gotham’s signings.
Gotham Added a Blend of Youth and Experience
Talia Sommer (Midfielder, Joined 12/9/2025)

Following her collegiate career at Butler, Sommer offers creativity and goal-getting instincts for the Bats. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has represented the Israeli national team since 2021 and previously won the Israeli Women’s Cup for ASA Tel Aviv University. Technically, she arrived before the primary window, but we’re including Sommer among the new signings.
Andrea Kitahata (Midfielder/Forward, Joined 1/8/2026)

Kitahata opted to play a fifth season at Stanford University after fielding several professional offers. Gotham won the race to sign the 23-year-old, and Kitahata has already been trusted by head coach Juan Carlos Amorós to start in midfield early into the 2026 NWSL campaign.

Savannah McCaskill (Midfielder, Joined 1/2/2026)

McCaskill returned to Gotham after starting her professional career with Gotham’s predecessors, Sky Blue FC. The 29-year-old was acquired from San Diego Wave FC to add experience in the heart of midfield. McCaskill operates as a box-to-box midfielder who can spring teammates with through passes.
Teagan Wy (Goalkeeper, Joined 1/16/2026)

Wy has competed for the United States at various youth levels and has gotten a look from USWNT head coach Emma Hayes at Futures Camp. The 21-year-old shot stopper recorded a career-high 8 clean sheets in her senior season at the University of California, Berkeley.
Jordynn Dudley (Forward, Joined 1/26/2026)

Dudley joined Gotham after leading the Florida State Seminoles to two NCAA national championships. The 21-year-old forward possesses outstanding pace that can stretch defenses. She’s shown flashes of brilliance early into her professional career, and it won’t be long before she is racking up goals against NWSL defenses.

Guro Reiten (Winger, Joined 3/12/2026)

Reiten was acquired late in the transfer window on loan from Chelsea with a permanent deal in place with Gotham that runs through 2029.
