Gotham FC players and staff will soon be presented with championship rings that are a representation of the club’s incredible playoff run that ended with the raising of the 2025 NWSL championship trophy in San Jose last November.
Following the March 21 home opener against the North Carolina Courage at Sports Illustrated Stadium, the team will receive their rings during an on-pitch post-match ceremony.
On Thursday, photos and videos of the championship rings were released for the first time. The ring was designed in collaboration with The Champions Collective, and it features a gold star that symbolizes the club’s second NWSL championship. It is engraved with “2025 NWSL Champions,” the team’s motto: “Always building, never finished,” the November 22, 2025 championship game date and the player’s name and signature.

“These rings celebrate the belief, sacrifice and relentless work that drives this club each season,” Gotham general manager and head of soccer operations Yael Averbuch West said. “They highlight another incredible moment for this team and the daily pursuit of progress that defines Gotham FC. It is an emphatic statement of the club’s ambition and the reflection of a group determined to keep raising the bar.”
Gotham FC surprised pundits and television analysts by becoming the lowest seed in league history to capture the NWSL championship. Along the way, the Bats upset the No.1-seeded Kansas City Current, who set new league records in wins (21), points (65) and shutouts (16).
Rings to Be Presented at Gotham FC Home Opener

The previous year’s NWSL champions were sent packing by Gotham in the semifinals before Rose Lavelle’s 80th-minute goal delivered the 2025 NWSL championship over the Washington Spirit.
Fans will be eager to continue the celebrations alongside the players and team at the home opener after last season’s trophy double, which also saw the Bats win the 2024–25 CONCACAF W Champions Cup.
