The Julian Hall show continued as Red Bull New York rolled to a 1-0 victory over the New England Revolution in Michael Bradley’s first match in charge at Sports Illustrated Stadium since he was promoted to first-team head coach.

Fresh off scoring both goals in New York’s 2026 MLS season-opening 2-1 away triumph over Orlando City, Hall continued his goal-bursting ways on Saturday.

New York had dominated territory and possession in the first half but entered the halftime break scoreless. The Red Bulls outshot New England 7-3 and owned 67 percent of possession.

Hall scored on a headed effort after receiving a flick on from Adri Mehmeti after Matthew Dos Santos whipped a swerving ball into the box. The teenage trio combined to lift supporters out of their seats on a picturesque day in Harrison.

“They have football, and they have personality,” Bradley stated of his teenage talents. “As we move through preseason and as we continue to push our group and start to figure out the best way to put it all together, it was more and more clear every day that both of these guys (Hall and Mehmeti) needed to be on the field.

“They are really talented young players; they both have really good mentalities. They come every day ready to train, ready to work, ready to push themselves. We’re really happy with the progress that they’re making.”

The sunny weather matched the optimism that Bradley and his players have ushered in following last season’s gloomy, playoff-less campaign under Sandro Schwarz.

Hall has grabbed his opportunity to start ahead of well-traveled veteran Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting with both hands. The 17-year-old prodigy has begun the young season in electric form, scoring three goals through two matches. He credited teammates for the efforts in supplying him with ample goal-scoring opportunities.

“I wouldn’t be able to score without my teammates,” Hall said. “I think the chemistry of the team is at a really good level right now.”

Red Bull New York will welcome CF Montréal to Sports Illustrated Stadium next Sunday. If the Red Bulls continue to play with the energy and front-footed play that they’ve shown through the first two games of the MLS schedule, it will be a difficult task for Montréal to leave Harrison with a victory.
